The 19th annual French Market was held on September 12, 2009, at St. Joan of Arc at 42nd and Central Avenue. The perfect weather brought out record crowds. Tours were conducted of the church. Food and drink from Cajun to French were available at the tents, a little too spread out this year, around the event. Bands played on the stage set up in the center. Artists set up tents around the perimeter of the SJA grounds. This event is the main funding for the school and church which dates to 1929.
