This ad for House of Candles ran in 1971. The Candle store opened on the southwest corner of Westfield and Guilford, across from the fire station, in 1969. They were selling Nixon and Agnew candles!

Over the years this spot has been Carter's Farm Market in the 1930s, The Village Press in the 1980s, Ben and Jerry's in 2000, and many, many more. Today, Dad's Kitchen is at the 6336 Guilford Avenue [G4 on map] address.
