Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion Opens 2026 Indoor Track and Field Season With Expanded Schedule and Major Championships
posted: Jan. 08, 2026

The Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion will open its 2026 indoor track and field season with more meets, more teams, and several championship events that bring high impact competition to Indianapolis.
The schedule runs from January through March and features five regular season collegiate meets, all in a two day (Friday and Saturday) format. Each meet already has at least 20 confirmed teams. The Heartland Invitational has been added to the calendar and will run February 13 and 14.
The venue will host the USATF Combined Events Championship on February 21 and 22. This meet returns for the second year and serves as a qualifier for the World Championships in Kujawy Pomorze, Poland, March 20 through 22, 2026. The event is expected to bring top national athletes to Indianapolis during a key qualification window.
The pavilion will also bring back the Big Ten Indoor Championships February 26 through 28. Last year's event produced strong attendance, national attention, and several meet records. The 2026 lineup adds the Missouri Valley Conference Championships on March 1 and 2. This is the first time the conference has selected Indianapolis for its indoor title meet.
High school athletes will see four Hoosier State Relay Qualifier meets in March. This is the first year the site will host four qualifiers, followed by the Hoosier State Relays on March 28.
"Our team set out to build a season that brings consistent value to athletes, fans, and our city," said LeRoy Lewis III, Director of Community and Media Engagement. "The Fall Creek Pavilion continues to show what a modern indoor venue can deliver. You will see national level talent, strong conference competition, and some of the best high school performers in the region."
The full schedule includes:
  • Hoosier Horsepower Classic, January 16 and 17
  • Crossroads of America Invitational, January 23 and 24
  • Midwest Classic, January 30 and 31
  • Fairgrounds Invitational, February 6 and 7
  • Heartland Invitational, February 13 and 14
  • USATF Combined Events Championship, February 21 and 22
  • Big Ten Championships, February 26 through 28
  • Missouri Valley Conference Championships, March 1 and 2
  • HSR Qualifiers on March 3, 5, 17, and 19
  • Hoosier State Relays on March 28
