Halloween Fun at BR Park
The fun includes two great events at Broad Ripple Park:
Halloween Moonlight Egg Hunt (Ages 4-9) Dare to venture out into the moonlight for a monster egg hunt (search for plastic eggs with candy and prizes inside), games, crafts, refreshments, and a howling good time! Be sure you bring a flashlight and dress appropriately. If you wear a costume, you get an extra special prize! Limited spaces, so sign up now!
Halloween Dog Egg Hunt on October 31, 2016, 6:30pm at Broad Ripple Dog Park. Another fun event for the dog in your life to hunt for eggs. To register call 317-327-7161 or email taylor.oneal@indy.gov

Ripple Effect Run Draws 300
On October 13, 2016, 300 runners celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Ripple Effect Run. The event was moved to October since so many folks were out of town for Labor Day Sunday (the previous time). Congratulations to Jessie Davis, owner of the Runners Forum, who won the race with a time of 15:20 and to Rosie Edwards, the fastest female.

Fabric art showcased at the Indianapolis Art Center
Don't miss the group exhibition using art with fiber at the Art Center. It runs through November 19, 2016, and is entitled Weave Wars. Also at the Art Center will be a Veterans Art Day on November 12.

Fall Festival Scheduled For November 6, 2016, at Holliday Park
Holliday Park will have its Fall Festival on Sunday November 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.. Matt Roush is the musician and refreshments will be served. See this and other events at www.hollidaypark.org

Vote!
Don't forget to vote November 8, 2016. My recommendations:
• YES on improving transit (the .25 percent income tax to improve IndyGo): We can do this!
• NO on the constitutional amendment which makes hunting and fishing the preferred resource management tool. Such minutia does not belong in the Constitution and your right to hunt and fish are hardly under siege.
• For the other races, remember RFRA and those legislators and parties that dwell on matters that give the state a black eye and make it difficult for employers to recruit employees.

Rainbow Bridge gets upgrade
Thanks to President Kent Springer of BRVA for getting the City to repair the canal bank's beleaguered south side with new rock. The banks have previously been bare and were an eyesore according to Springer. He praised the city's fast action on the problem, noting all that it took was a phone call.
