There's a lot of news in the Ripple:

NEW INDY GO ROUTE LAUNCHED ON 86TH STREET AND CONNECTS WITH #18
You can get there from here. IndyGo has a new bus route, the #86 that runs along 86th and 82nd Streets and connects with the #18 from Broad Ripple. The route 86 runs between Traders Point and Community Hospital North along the 86th/82nd St. Corridor. The service operates Monday through Saturday with a frequency of 30 minutes. The route connects with 7 IndyGo routes including Route 18 from Broad Ripple where it meets route 86 at Keystone at the Crossing and in Nora. The fare is $1.75 for each bus ride (no transfers on IndyGo) but for $4, riders can purchase a day pass on-board. For more information, see www.indygo.net. No need to wait for the legislature to give us transit-we already have it so take it.

STRAY DOG ATTACKS BIKERS NEAR 66th and College (west side of street)
A stray black lab dog has been attacking bikers and pedestrians at the west side of College near 66th and College (including this writer) for the last 5 weeks. Animal Control has not been able to catch the dog but is very aware of the problem and is trying to trap it with a bait and a cage. They are sending officers with tranquilizers. The dog is very territorial so try and escape the area if he spots you. Contact Terri Melton at Indianapolis Animal Care and Control for more information.
