The Sun Peeks In

The last 3 lines of the poem below are a paraphrase from a song I once heard performed with inspiration by the Womack Memorial Episcopal CME Choir.

Frightened

I am too frightened
To become enlightened
Fear of today
Fear of the morrow
Fear of pain
Fear of my sorrow
But if God wills
My fearful chills
Will warn to one
I can see the sun
Peaking thru the clouds
The storm is almost done
