Five Marion County Senior High School Boys Basketball players received scholarships from the Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis supported by the Indiana Pacers at the 67th annual Indiana State High School Boys Basketball Finals Luncheon on March 21, 2013, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The luncheon, sponsored by the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis, honors the eight state finalist basketball teams. Boys pictured (left to right) are John Padgett (Perry Meridian), Dan Scofield (Lawrence North) and Wade Stallings (North Central). Not pictured are C.J. Harrington (Park Tudor) and Samuel Elmore (Scecina Memorial). Each received a $1,000 Indiana Pacers Boys Basketball Academic All-Star Scholarship, which recognize the importance of academic excellence in athletics and are given to five senior Marion County basketball players who maintain the highest career grade point averages. C.J. Harrington also received the $1,500 Jim Mills Memorial Scholarship, given to the All-Star who is selected MVP (Most Valuable Player).
