"When you first walk into the Game Station one thing is quite clear, this store is stocked! You are immediately surrounded by wall to wall, floor to ceiling entertainment. It takes just a few seconds more for you to realize what sets this store apart from all of its competitors is the personal experience given to each customer by owners Derek & Bethany Hughes. It is this personal experience at the Game Station, located at 1045 Broad Ripple Avenue, that will keep shoppers coming back again and again.

It was this desire to truly serve the customer and not a corporate agenda that ultimately led Derek and Bethany to open up their own independent store. The couple knew that they wanted to start their own business, but didn't quite know where to start. After nearly a year of researching all kinds of different business ventures, they decided that the Game Station was just what they wanted to offer the Broad Ripple community. The location of the store, just west of Broad Ripple High School, is not only convenient for the couple who live less then three miles away, it is also another unique addition to the already diverse landscape of shopping that is offered in Broad Ripple. With an impending economic crisis on the horizon the Game Station has arrived not a moment to soon. This store offers so many ways to stretch your ever precious dollar. While offering brand new versions of all the hottest new titles like Gears of War 2, and Call of Duty 5: World at War, you can opt to pick up a slightly used version with a cheaper price tag. If today's latest games are a bit to advanced or just not your style then you can pick from their vast assortment of older titles for all game consoles. The Game Station has it all: Wii, XBOX 360, PlayStation 3, as well as the original XBOX and PlayStation 1 and 2. If you need your games on the go look no further because they carry all sorts of games and accessories for PSP, Nintendo DS, and Game Boy. One of the best features of the Game Station is if you are not sure you want to buy a certain game or if you're hesitant because it just might not be how you remember it, you can play before you pay. That's right, just ask to sample a game and no matter what system you're looking to play on they will hook it up to a flat screen and let you take it for a test drive. This does not just pertain to PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. If you're feeling a bit nostalgic and Pong was your game there is an Atari on hand and for sale and at your service. This is one of the features that sets the Game Station apart from other game stores. Also if you have already beaten all the games you own or just don't play them anymore bring them in and receive cash or store credit towards a purchase of a new game.

This store isn't just for the technology savvy gamers of the world. Derek and Bethany offer an ever changing stock of used DVD's. At $8 each or three for $20 you can have three nights of entertainment in the comforts of home for what it would cost two people to go to the movies. For a few dollars more you can bring the intensity of a theatre home with their selection of Blu-ray discs. If you already have your favorite game or movie but it has been played one too many times and now it's scratched, bring it in and have your disk repaired. All games and movies are guaranteed not to be scratched and all game consoles, both new and old, have a 30 day money back guarantee. Located in the heart of Broad Ripple Station, the store is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am to 8pm, Sunday noon to 5pm, and closed Mondays.
