Letters to the Editor - BR Traffic woes - by Sarah Green

Note to our readers: Letters to the Editor are the opinions of our readers and not necessarily those of this paper.
I would like to express my concern and frustration in my daily travel through Broad Ripple along Broad Ripple Avenue. The traffic congestion is horrible. It seems to me there should be a better flow in the traffic pattern. I know the DOT redesigned it several years ago, but it needs revamped again. I think re-timing the stop lights would make a big difference in eliminating the congestion. The traffic backups are annoying enough to make people want to divert around Broad Ripple, this is not what the area businesses need. Specifically, the stop light at Broad Ripple Avenue and Winthrop is out of sync with the lights at Guilford and College. I love the Broad Ripple area but we need to keep traffic flowing at a better pace. Thanks for letting me voice my opinion. I really enjoy the BR Gazette, thank you for devoting your time and energy to it.
