Life's Ripples from Broad Ripple United Methodist Church by Rev. Timothy Rasmussen

When we hear the word recovery ministry, our first thought is AA, yet I believe there is so much more to it than that. In reality, all of us are in recovery from something. It could be we are struggling with divorce, depression, or maybe just anger from some life situation. It really doesn't matter, each of us needs help dealing with life at one time or another.
Because we are human, we all sin, and therefore are "recovering sinners". I have been convinced that God wanted a recovery ministry in Broad Ripple, and I'm happy to say there is one. New Paradigm church has started a recovery ministry based on Rick Warren's approach that he uses at his church in Saddleback, California.
There are many kinds of recovery, and although they are not promoted as such, there are many types of recovery ministries going on in the churches in the Broad Ripple area. Don't be afraid to walk into any church in the area and ask what's going on. There are people in this community who care about what happens to you.
