Life's Ripples from Broad Ripple United Methodist Church by Rev. Timothy Rasmussen

The sun is actually shining as I sit down to write this article. It has seemed like such a long, cold, dark winter this year. I was beginning to think that Spring would never come. But God created the seasons to be consistent and faithful for us, just as He is.
As the weather gets warmer, and the sun shines longer, be in awe of the life forming transformations that happen in this season. Take time "to smell the roses," as they say. Our time on this earth is so short and precious that it is hard to imagine why we think we have to be constantly busy producing something - whether it's something good or something bad.
In the end, all we have is the relationships we have taken the time to build with each other.
This Spring I urge you to slow down, stop worrying about what everyone else thinks of how you spend your time, and enjoy the vast array of beauty with which God is about to bless us.
