Slapfish will host a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration for its fifth Central Indiana location in the Meridian Kessler neighborhood. The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026. Ribbon-Cutting Event starts at 10:45 AM with Lobster Roll giveaway to follow!

The restaurant will include an outdoor patio in both the front and back of the building, with enough seating for up to 40 people inside and 80 total patrons when the patio is open.

"Opening our fifth Central Indiana location is an exciting milestone for us, but what makes this one especially meaningful is the neighborhood," said Mark Weghorst. "Being in Meridian-Kessler gives us the opportunity to become part of a neighborhood where people really support local restaurants and gathering places."

The ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening will take place outside of the new location across from Cafe Patachou and Sullivan Hardware at 49th Street and Pennsylvania Street. There will be a lobster roll giveaway for the first 100 guests immediately following the ceremony (one lobster roll per guest).

Slapfish is known for its innovative, "boat-to-plate" seafood dishes, including the Lobster Roll and Fish Tacos. Other items on the menu range from the popular Power Bowl to the Fish 'N Chips and Crunchy Grouper Sandwich.
