Third Thursdays Returns to Broad Ripple for Its Biggest Season Yet
posted: Mar. 19, 2026

Love, Broad Ripple (LBR), the grassroots organization dedicated to celebrating and strengthening the Broad Ripple Village community, announced the return of Third Thursdays for a full 2026 season running from March through October. Building on the momentum of last year's successful launch, this year's series runs eight months and includes pop-up markets featuring local vendors, musicians, and art during the warmer months.
Third Thursdays is a monthly community event designed to bring residents, visitors, and local businesses together in the heart of Broad Ripple Village. What began as a grassroots effort has quickly become a beloved neighborhood tradition - and in 2026, it's only getting bigger.
"The response to Third Thursdays last year showed us just how much this community craves connection and celebration," said Kristen Alderson, Owner of Thieves and Head of Love, Broad Ripple programming. "We're so excited to build on that energy in 2026 with more months, more programming, and even more ways for businesses and neighbors to get involved."
Beginning March 19, 2026, Third Thursdays events will take place every month through October, giving the community eight opportunities to come together throughout the year. During the warmer months of May through September, LBR will host a pop-up market in the village featuring local vendors, live musical performances, and live art activations, creating a vibrant, open-air celebration of the neighborhood's creative spirit.
To help local businesses make the most of the season, LBR developed a 2026 Playbook for Businesses, which outlines event expectations, key planning deadlines, and suggested monthly themes. The playbook is designed to make participation easy and fun, and to ensure that the entire village is aligned and energized around each month's celebration.
Broad Ripple Village has long been one of Indianapolis's most beloved neighborhoods, known for its independent shops, restaurants, arts scene, and welcoming community. Third Thursdays was born from a desire to celebrate all of that: to give people a regular reason to show up, explore, and support the local businesses that make Broad Ripple special.
The 2026 season reflects the growing enthusiasm from both businesses and community members. With themed months, a structured playbook for participants, and expanded pop-up programming, this year's Third Thursdays is poised to be a defining series for the village.
