St. Margaret's Hospital Guild and presenting sponsor Stock Yards Bank & Trust invite the Indianapolis community to lace up for the fourth annual Dash by the Past on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 9 a.m. - a family-friendly 5K run and 1-mile walk down Meridian Street in support of career opportunities for college and university students with physical disabilities and continuing support for mental health.

Proceeds from this year's event will benefit The Gregory S. Fehribach Center at Eskenazi Health, which advances employment equity through internships, resources and professional development, and the Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center, which provides mental health services to anyone in Marion County. The race will once again close historic Meridian Street to vehicle traffic, creating a pedestrian-only course for participants.

The scenic race route connects participants to more than six decades of Guild history, passing several former Decorators' Show House & Gardens homes, while supporting programs that are shaping a more inclusive workforce and better mental health in central Indiana.

"Dash by the Past is a celebration of community, history and purpose," said Heidi Hermann Wright, President of St. Margaret's Hospital Guild. "We are proud that this year's event supports The Gregory S. Fehribach Center, whose work empowers talented students with physical disabilities to gain professional experience and access new career pathways. The Guild has supported Eskenazi Health for more than a century, and we are honored to continue that legacy through events like this."

The race begins and ends at Meridian Restaurant & Bar, 5694 N. Meridian Street, with the 5K turnaround at 43rd and Meridian Street. The street will be closed to North and Southbound traffic from Westfield Boulevard through 38th Street.

Participants may choose from:

• 5K Run/Walk - Adult and Kids' 5K (ages 5-12) | $30-$40
• 1-Mile Walk - Adult and Kids' 1-Mile Walk (ages 5-12) | $25-$40

All registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt (adult and youth sizes available). Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place male and female 5K finishers. Children ages 0-4 do not need to be registered. After crossing the finish line, participants can celebrate with a photo opportunity with Petunia, the Stock Yards Bank & Trust's beloved mascot.
