This issue's Random Historic Photo is from the 1987 Sesquicentennial Parade in Broad Ripple. It was taken by Michele Borgerhoff. This part of the parade included Indy 500 race cars. There is a lot of history in the background. You can see Midtown Cafe at 814 Broad Ripple Avenue where Average Joe's Sports Pub is and the Broad Ripple Antique Mall at 818, where the BRVA office was recently, K-Nine College at 820 where Rock Lobster is now, and Goldman Furs at 816, which is part of Average Joe's Sports Pub today.
