Beckenhorst Singers to Present Concert Feb. 8 at North UMC in Indianapolis
posted: Jan. 22, 2026
Following positive feedback from its first-ever live concert last August, Beckenhorst Singers will present its second concert Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of the historic North United Methodist Church, 3808 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis.
Beckenhorst Singers attracts over 20,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with well over 5 million streams.
Craig Courtney will conduct the 24-voice ensemble with Dan Forrest collaborating at the piano, creating an afternoon of true choral artistry. The concert will be recorded live, and tickets are available at
beckenhorstpress.com/tickets. It will feature new music still in production for a fall 2026 release by Beckenhorst Press.
Choral directors and musicians have long appreciated the studio recordings from Beckenhorst Press thanks to the musicianship and artistry of Beckenhorst Singers. The music publisher is bringing that same level of quality musicianship to live concert recordings each season, directly following the musicians' in-studio work.
Forrest, vice president of publications and editor, said "I found it so satisfying and rewarding to perform live with the choir - there's so much more payoff than only singing in the studio. I felt like this was a rare chance for us to see some of the impact that the performances of our music can have on people, instead of just imagining or hoping for it while singing into a microphone in the studio."
General admission tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for students. Tickets for early admission cost $35.
