There were around 15 in attendance at the April 22, 2025, public meeting of the Broad Ripple Village Association [BRVA] Land Use and Development committee that was held in the basement of Northminster Presbyterian Church, 1660 Kessler Boulevard.
There were two items on the agenda, in bold below.
854 Broad Ripple Avenue - Thieves. Kristen Alderson will present on the transfer of their current alcohol permit at 915 Broad Ripple Avenue to their new location.
This proposal is to move the existing liquor license from the current location of Thieves at 915 Broad Ripple Avenue to the new spot on the northwest corner of Broad Ripple Avenue and Guilford Avenue.
The committee voted unanimously to support this request when it comes before the Marion County Alcoholic Beverage Board downtown.
6161 N. College Avenue - Elasia Wellness Studios. Alyssa Hanson will present on an application filed for a variance of use for the property located at 6161 N. College Avenue currently zoned as D5 to allow for the operation of a wellness studio.
This item was for information only, no vote at this time because the hearing with the Department of Metropolitan Development had not been docketed as of the meeting. The proposal is to obtain a variance of zoning to allow for a wellness studio at 6161 N. College Avenue. It is zoned residential.
The petitioners described the new business and the BRVA committee offered suggestions. It is planned for the petitioners to appear at the May Land Use meeting for a vote.
