Andrea and Kristin Patrick are sisters, entrepreneurs and co-founders of Orangily, a Wellness Bottle Shop, that is located at 1051 East 54th Street, Suite A [OO25 on
map]. They also have stores in East Carmel at 5790 East Main Street, Suite 150 and in the Village of West Clay at 12839 Broad Street, Suite 150 next door to Fundae's Ice Cream & Sweets. Their decision to go alcohol-free in 2021 and open a new business has proven to be an intoxicating career move.

"We always dreamed of having our own store. We have always liked shopping locally where we discover new shops and boutiques around Indiana. We were reading a magazine article, Booze-Free Bottle Shops Are Making Dry January Easier Than Ever that inspired our idea. In July of 2021, we founded this concept as a niche store as Loren's Alcohol-Free Beverages in Carmel. It is named after our father, Loren Marley. My sister, Andrea, always had a vision for the future. We started a niche, specialty store, but it was quickly evident that people were interested in non-alcoholic beverages. Our store is not loaded with sugary beverages. A non-alcoholic drink in a can may have 20 to 60 calories and contain ingredients like Ashwagandha, Lion's Mane and CBD," Ms. Patrick explained.

Orangily's store hours at 1051 East 54th Street, Suite A are 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Noon to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Their Carmel shop is a warehouse location between Café Patachou and Rackz BBQ that faces Hazel Dell Parkway. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Their Village of West Clay location is open Tuesday through Saturday from Noon to 6 p.m. Customers can also place on-line orders at
www.orangily.com and on Instagram at: @drinkorangily.
The criteria they choose for selling certain non-alcoholic drinks has evolved. "It has changed over time as certain brands are driven by social media marketing. Customers will go to our store's website (
www.lorensaf.com) and look for them. We look for brands with a social media presence. We want the bottles to speak for themselves. We receive feedback from our customers on the brands they purchase." she noted. Additional information on Orangily at:
www.facebook.com/drinkorangily.
She mused on the rewards of being an entrepreneur. "The customers are wonderful. They're reflective in making choices and want to shop local. They tell us what they like and don't like. It's a benefit to people who come in the store. We'll match the products with our customers and coach them to what they are seeking. We have a lot of tasting events where we sample different spirits."
Orangily also sells sardines, rainbow trout and albacore tuna at their 1051 East 54th Street shop.

Future tasting events at their 54th Street location are Saturday, April 5 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (Marz Community Brewing CBD Drinks), Saturday, April 12 from 1 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Sovi Non-alcoholic Wines), Saturday, April 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (Floral THC Seltzers (21+) and Saturday, April 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (Kava Haven Non-alcoholic Spirits).
"The reason that we choose this neighborhood (54th Street and the Monon Trail) is that we were delivering to customers in this area all of the time. The customers were already here and there has been a steady stream of new people visiting. This is a niche location for us," she emphasized. Orangily is certified as a Women Business Enterprise with the City of Indianapolis Office of Minority & Women Business Development.
By changing the business paradigm and introducing non-alcoholic spirits in diverse social settings from book clubs, elegant dinners, evening cocktails and soirées, Andrea Simpson and Kristin Patrick are redefining the art of entertaining in a new generation to include all.
Customers can raise a glass (non-alcoholic of course) to Orangily as they toast these early days of the spring equinox in and around Broad Ripple.
