Several readers responded to the photo of the first house in Warfleigh photo published in the last issue.

The house is at 6601 Broadway Street. One person pointed out that the original caption said the house was on 65th Street, but there is NO 65th Street in Warfleigh!

It is all in the timing though. That caption was likely written before the street renumbering in 1931. That is when 65th (west of College, in Warfleigh) was renamed 66th, to match up with the annexed land on the east side of College Avenue. Although the ordinance for the renumbering is dated 1931, I have a 1924 map that shows it already renumbered. More mysteries.
