OPEN LETTER TO THE BRVA--THE VILLAGE NEEDS A RE BOOT AND REBRAND
After 3 unsuccessful attempts, I will be taking this year off and not running for the BRVA Board.
Last year I did not even get an acknowledgment that I applied much less an interview.
However, I would like to volunteer and help in any way I can.
Our Village suffers from a perception problem and we need a reboot and rebrand.
Perception is reality.
BRVA also needs to lose the slated voting sham where candidates are not actually voted on by members, Instead, the Board hand picks 5 candidates and members must vote up or down for all five.
This makes change difficult.
We need to have the difficult conversation and respond pro actively. Road closures, COVID, years long store vacancies, and weekend violence have taken their toll.
Let's make Broad Ripple the premiere Indianapolis neighborhood again. Given the plethora of parks, bike trails, the Red Line, and the cute shops and restaurants, we have so much to offer. Let's get the word out and get to work.
