This photo was probably taken in the 1980s. It is of 1001 Broad Ripple Avenue. The Provinical Kitchen was on the ground floor. Johnny Whitaker resurrected the Broad Ripple Tavern, for years at 924 Westfield Boulevard (The Bungalow today), in the basement at 1001.

Today this location is Cholita Taqueria. Over the years it has been 10-01 Food & Drink, Broad Ripple Lumber Co Restaurant, and started out as the offices for the actual Broad Ripple Lumber Company.

In the back of this photo Bud Wolf Chevrolet can been seen on the corner of Broad Ripple Avenue and Compton Street.
