Random Rippling - ISBVI Last Blast
posted: Apr. 11, 2024
On March 23 the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI) held a special reunion called the Last Blast. Past and current students and staff were invited to share the memories of the school that opened its new facility at 75th and College Avenue in 1933.
While the main historic building connected to the tower will remain and be modernized inside, most of the other structures on the site will be razed to make way for new buildings that will include the new Indiana Deaf School, which will relocate from north of the State Fairgrounds.
The project is expected to take 5 to 7 years to complete.
