Random Rippling - 2023 Duck Race
posted: Jun. 15, 2023
It was maybe the best weather ever for the annual Broad Ripple Duck Race that was held on the canal on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Spectators lined both sides of the canal from the Monon Trail bridge to the College Avenue bridge. The starting point for the race was the red Monon Trail bridge [F5 on
map]. Kayakers followed the ducks on the race down to the College Avenue bridge to help free them when they got stuck along the way.
Vendors and activity tents lined the Rainbow Bridge on Guilford Avenue.
According to the BRVA the 2023 winners were: 1st - #2134 Chris M., 2nd - #2555 Jamaica B., and 3rd - #922 Atienne D.
