Tina McIntosh of Joy's House named USA TODAY's Women of the Year honoree from Indiana
posted: Mar. 23, 2023

"Every day across our country, USA TODAY's Women of the Year lead and inspire, promote and fight for equity, give others a place to seek help and find hope."
"They are strong and resilient women who have been champions of change and courage, often quietly, but with powerful results. And often despite their own challenges."
--USA TODAY
Tina McIntosh (President and CEO) is one of these women. She's an entrepreneur, an author, a public speaker and much more. Tina is most known in Indiana for her leadership in the adult day and family caregiving industry, where she started Joy's House at the age of 27 and helped to advance the industry through marketing and community involvement.
Those who know her well know her as a two-time cancer survivor, the wife of a husband who has had his own battle twice with cancer, the mother of three children, co-host of a radio show, a pretty terrible gardener, a dedicated friend, and the author of a new book, embrace the imbalance: things you need you know from people I wish you knew.
"Acknowledgements like this let you know that you're doing something right, something that matters. I wish that the other people who have been a part of Joy's House or involved in important ways in my life could stand in this moment, too, because the reality is that they lift me up and allow me to have moments like this. I'm absolutely honored to be one name on this list of incredible and impactful women in our nation."
--Tina McIntosh
With the announcement of this honor, Tina joins the ranks of incredible women. Some of them may be familiar names to you. Others may be new. They include Michelle Obama, Goldie Hawn, Roberta "Bobbi" Cordano, Sandra Day O'Connor, Simone Biles, Melinda French Gates.
Tina's new book embrace the imbalance is available for purchase at embracetheimbalance.com.
