October 22, 2022: The American Legion Riders of Post 34, 2210 E. 54th Street, hosted their first "Headless Horsemen" ride from the Post to Story, Indiana, and back to raise money to assist the Post. Director Eli Hinkle hosted the event. Hal Moores with the colors led the Riders as Eli brought up the rear.

Prior to the ride the SAL (Sons of The American Legion) served a biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage breakfast. Following the return of the Riders the Post had a steak or salmon dinner with the band Tres Amigos playing out back on the Bandstand. A great time was enjoyed by all in attendance.
