Portion Of North College Ave. Closed Monday, Nov. 8, For Private Development Work

Beginning Monday, November 8, North College Avenue between 61st Street and Broad Ripple Avenue is expected to completely close for work on a private development near 6215 North College Avenue. Weather permitting, this segment of College Avenue is expected to reopen in late November.
On Monday, College Avenue between Kessler Boulevard and Broad Ripple Avenue is expected to completely close to through traffic. Local traffic may still access College Avenue between Kessler Blvd. and 61st Street. East 61st Street between Broadway and College Avenues will be open to accommodate local traffic and late turn-offs.
Northbound traffic will follow a detour including Kessler Boulevard, North Meridian Street and 71st Street to rejoin College Avenue.
Southbound traffic will use 71st Street, North Meridian Street and Kessler Boulevard to reach College Avenue.
During the closure, signage will direct pedestrians traveling northbound to Paxton Place, Carrollton Avenue and Broad Ripple Avenue to reach College Avenue north of the closure. Southbound pedestrians will follow Broad Ripple Avenue, Carrollton Avenue and Paxton Place.
The IndyGo Red Line will maintain north and south operations using the southbound parking lane of College Avenue separated from the construction area by barricades.
