The bridge to take the Monon Trail over 38th Street is now in place. Traffic was rerouted for a short time while crews lowered the bridge onto the supports. Work will continue to construct the adjoining ramps on the north and the south ends of the bridge.

A description of the project from DPW: "The $5.6 million five-span multimodal bridge improves traffic safety and mobility by eliminating the existing 38th Street pedestrian crossing. Sidewalks along 38th Street and a Pacers BikeShare station are among project amenities. The bridge is expected to be substantially complete by December 2020, with final completion expected in July 2021. For more information, visit indy.gov/dpw."
