The Meridian Street Foundation (MSF) kicked off the 4th of July weekend with a charity "drive". Residents along historic Meridian Street, from Westfield Boulevard on the north to 40th Street on the south, gathered donations for a roving truck to pick up from their front yard 4th of July celebrations. There were front yard gatherings all along Meridian Street. Donations included checks, food, toiletries, household supplies for the following: HVAF (Helping Veterans and Families), MLK Center, and St. Augustine Home for the Elderly. Also clothing for HVAF for veterans and their families, and school uniforms for the MLK Center.
