It's February! Searching for new sips, sensations and satisfaction?
Beat the winter blahs with wine and fun from one of Indiana's finest wineries, Easley.
The Easley family has been growing grapes and producing award winning wines for decades. Their tasting room in downtown Indianapolis offers daily specials, music events, party space, and its retail area includes some of the most unique and coveted "wine bling" items in the USA.
Enjoy a sweet and sultry Valentines Day weekend at the winery with love songs and the highly anticipated new vintage release of Kauffman's Posey Red which is actually a semi sweet pink wine produced from a "mystery grape" grown in Posey county Indiana. Its a cult favorite and sells out quickly so make your reservation soon.
It's an important election year, and once again Easley offers its award winning series of NO OPPOSITION and I THINK wines. These dry, rich reds, white and pink are created for all. The I THINK blend is a Cabernet/Merlot blend that offers up smooth, dry, red fruit and vanilla notes. The NO OPPOSITION Chardonnay is aged in both French and American barrels infusing a lush vanilla and toasty oak flavor to the rich, smooth, dry white wine that already is yummy in its offering of fresh apple and pear. The Rosé is dry and the Blend is a big bold combination of Cabernet, Zinfandel and Syrah.
Looking for a little culture with your wine?
The Storefront Theatre on Broad Ripple Avenue also shows local art. This month's featured work is from contemporary urban artist 76 Trillion Years of Soul.
