Poetic Thoughts - After sleeping - by C.W. Pruitt II

Staying low often allows for perspective. It seems that people seek the advice of the humble when their lives are running out of control. Paradoxically, the earthy ones are often quite radiant.
Below is a poem about one, who to me, exemplified earthy radiance:
After sleeping
all night
in the tall grasses
He went down
to address
the masses
Knowing that
the lowly
have much worth
He said
"blessed are
the meek
for they shall
inherit the Earth"
