Poetic Thoughts - Meaningful Meltdown - by C.W. Pruitt II
posted: Mar. 30, 2018
Things are not always as they seem. So it is with suffering. When reflecting on difficult times we may have an enhanced perspective:
Meaningful Meltdown
My break down
was also a break through-
like purification by fire.
Trial by ordeal
can be unpleasant.
Wood, hay, and stubble
are consumed
but gold
is refined.
I came to realize
that Love is all there is.
And so I know
we would all do well
to break-it-down
and melt down
to what matters.

The Bottom
The Bottom
Is
Cold
Hard
Insensitive
And may provide
Solid ground
From which to spring
Skyward
