Poetic Thoughts - Fall - by C.W. Pruitt II

Fall
Fall is such a beautiful time of the year in Broad Ripple. The trees lining College Avenue display a glimpse of God's art.
I love Fall, yet dread the coming Winter. Since becoming bipolar I have struggled through Winter.
The trees rustle
and shed their
wonderfully clad
leaves.
As Fall approaches
I lament
my losses
and brace
my self
for another Winter
which will
assuredly bring
hopelessness.
Then a ray
of light
will break
through my veil
and Spring
will come forth
and I will be
reborn
again.
