Buzzing Around Town

Happy March! I think we're all coming out of hibernation. It has been fun to cross paths with folks in Broad Ripple when we're not all bundled up and have scarves covering our frozen faces. I hope to see soon!

ENDIANA at the Alley Cat
Saturday, March 19, 2016
The Alley Cat Lounge Front Room
6267 Carrollton Ave - 21+, free, 9 PM
Endiana is my favorite band that I've never seen live. It is not by lack of trying. Often it is because the shows are on Saturdays, and that is my Red Key work night. (Go to the Red Key on Saturdays, have a cheeseburger and tell Nora how much you like her columns! - Alan)
First of all the lineup is made up of some of my musicians: Tim Fuller, Devon Ashley, Doug Henthorn, and Matthew Aaron. Secondly, all of the Endiana recordings that I've heard have been great - they have recorded four albums and an EP.
So, swing into the front room of The Alley Cat Lounge and enjoy this excellent Americana rock band. Tell 'em I said hello!

Not-for-profit director by day, music writer by night, Nora Spitznogle reviews music that happened and previews music and events around Broad Ripple Village. Nora managed CATH Inc coffeehouse at 54th Street and College Avenue for seven years. During that time she hosted hundreds of local and touring musicians, both at the coffeehouse and her home. When CATH closed in 2004 and the music was no longer coming to her, she had to wander from her corner of Broad Ripple to see what is happening elsewhere. You can find her at Second Helpings during the work day, waitressing at the Red Key on Saturday nights and prowling Broad Ripple music venues the rest of the time.
