Fresh Poem on Dude
The poem below is about 'Dude' from The Big Lebowski. If you haven't seen the movie, then it will make no sense.
The poem was written on a day when I go out to lunch with Alan and give him some new columns for the Broad Ripple Gazette.
So, this latest bit of insanity is about as fresh as my column gets.
Incidentally, I would like to dedicate this poem to all of the people out there who have seen The Big Lebowski at least 50 times.
Dude's Attachment and Walter's Advice
It was Dude's attachment
to his rug
that proved
his dismay.
That and he listened too much
to Walter.
Dude said.
"The rug really
tied the room
together."
And Walter's energy
led to the disarray
(As an anti-thetical example from above, it was totally Dude's fault for getting kicked out of the cab.
That was his business, Dude -
Even if you hated The Eagles).
