Nicholas Rivelli Achieves Rank of Eagle Scout
posted: Jan. 08, 2016
Nicholas Rivelli, 18, has received Scouting's highest rank of Eagle Scout.
Rivelli, a member of Troop 35, chartered by the St. John of Arc, is a senior at Bishop Chatard High School and has been involved in Scouting for six years. Rivelli achieved the Eagle rank after demonstrating leadership as senior patrol leader, patrol leader and den chief before completing his Eagle project.
Only 4 percent of Scouting's national membership attains the rank of Eagle.
For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Rivelli built an outdoor garden on the south side of the St. John of Arc church for those seeking solitude, engaging in prayer or embracing nature.
There were about three volunteers who dedicated their service to assist Rivelli in completing his one-day service project on October 25, 2015.
