If you travel up Westfield Boulevard, you have probably noticed lots of construction equipment along the river by the Kennington Legion Post. In the past few months a wall of iron pilings have been driven into the bed of the White River just below the Broad Ripple dam. Some of the pilings that are higher can be seen sticking out of the water in the middle of the left side of this picture.

In the next few weeks the dam will be reinforced, section by section, without blocking the flow of the river.
