The Residue of Pain

Below are 2 poems I wrote on August 14, 2012. They are on the aftereffects of pain which may be subject to transmutation into sorrow.

after the requisite suffering
the pain eases
and the darkness creeps out
soon sun is overhead
and beams brightly its message
ECSTATIC LOVE
bliss and sorrow remain

when pain
turns to sorrow
and for grief
you must borrow
another phrase
of lamentation
then ablaze
with contemplation
when pain
turns to sorrow
