Que Sera Sera Summertime
Wine & Food:

BBQ season continues. Perhaps one could even grill steaks on cement with the sweltering temps of this Hoosier summer. No matter what or where you grill, one of the tastiest reds to enjoy with BBQ fare is Syrah. Some might say its poetry in a glass...

Say "hurrah, hurrah" to the luscious Syrah,
The bold peppery red grape of the Rhone.
Black currant and spice make it oh so nice,
Blended with Grenache or bottled on its own.

In the land of the Taz, they call it "Shiraz",
Where the vibrant red truly excites.
Deep, lush and bold and as you've been told,
Paired with grilled foods adds extra delight.

Vintners in Spain also grow the grape of the Rhone
And that's reason for your palate to excite.
So many styles for your taste buds to test,
And values to drink every night.

Syrah's a delight even for those who love white,
And rivals Pinot Noir as a food friendly pair.
So pour a glass, an easy end of the day task,
And enjoy a night without care.

Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be. Syrah may just be the quintessential wine for summer time food especially BBQ ribs, Tex-Mex or Korean dishes.
Find these affordable quaffable bottles at a variety of wine shoppes in the Indianapolis area.
Beso de Vino Seleccion, Spain-Blend of syrah and grenache creates EZ drinking bottle with aromas of black currant, blackberry, soft spice.
Les Piliers Syrah, France-classic Chateauneuf style, deep intense dark brambly fruit and peppery spice with long, lingering finish.
Groom Shiraz, Australia-Da BOMB when it comes to big, bold, bad (in a good way) Shiraz. Tooth purpling, spicy, smokey, meaty, mouthful of wine.
Hope Shiraz, Australia-more dark fruit and smoky, peppery attributes.
Les Jamelles Syrah, France-smooth, packed with jammy dark fruit aromas and flavors and just a hint of spice.
