Students in Marian University's Business Club have volunteered to staff the Broad Ripple SuperFest Celebration Busses during the Super Bowl. Marian's Business Club regularly participates in service projects to help promote Indianapolis and surrounding communities, while providing real experience with community and economic development. "Our goals align with the Broad Ripple Village Association's goals," says Kelsey Uebelhor, Vice President of the Business Club. "We both want visitors to have a positive experience within Broad Ripple, resulting in repeat visits following Super Bowl events."
Students will staff the busses from 11am to 11pm on Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th. The busses will run from the drop off location on College Ave, near the Vogue Nightclub, to the Clean Zone downtown and back. Students will help with tickets, ride with passengers to answer questions, hand out maps and play a Welcome DVD to bus riders. "We want to make everyone who rides the bus feel welcome, whether they are residents or visitors," says Business Club President Joe Kukolla. "The goal of Marian's Clark H. Byrum School of Business is to engage in business, not just read about it. This project allows us to participate in promoting our community and to be part of an exciting event in our city."
