Regular customers of the Broad Ripple Einstein Bros. Bagels will remember local doggie-author Rivé Wood. Long-time Gazette readers may remember when Rivé was featured in a Random Rippling in Volume 4 issue number 16.
Thoughts, Oughts, Naughts - poems from the Heart of a Very Special Dog by Rivé Wood as told to Patricia Walworth Wood is now available in both paperback and ebook.
This posthumeus collection of poetry (Rivé passed in June) allows her poetry to live on. Rivé covers subjects of all kinds in the 64 page book.
I see Patricia and her new bichon at Einstein almost every Gazette delivery day, and then I often see them again when delivering to WB Pizza.
You can find Rivé and Patricia's book on Amazon.com. Here is a sample of her poetry:
On Kissing
Mom told me today
My verse has been missed.
Hearing that news
Is like being kissed,
Which reminds me to say
Humans don't know
The very best way
To let affection show.
Stop and watch me;
You'll see my tongue go,
Licking, kissing you
From head to toe.
Thus I'm kissing you,
Cleaning you too,
My best way to show
I love you true.
