Tyson Gay Beats Bolt
On August 9, 2010 I watched the re-run of the re-match between Tyson Gay and Usain Bolt on Channel 13.3. So, I knew before the race that Tyson Gay would defeat Usain Bolt and gain some small measure of revenge for his loss to Bolt in the 100 Meter Olympic final. It still provided drama for me.
Below are 3 poems that I wrote sequentially on that day:
Tyson Gay Beats Bolt
the most powerful runner
runs without fear
of injury or overexertion
Unbridled elegance
perfect form
manifested to be
a beautiful run
HAIKU of 2
the run between two
though the other lanes are full
Tyson Gay beats Bolt
