Swill from Jill
One of the many bonuses of writing for the Broad Ripple Gazette is the fact that our esteemed and easy-going editor always sends us a NICE reminder that our articles are due. And as usual I hit REPLY with "GADZ-FORGOT! WILL SEND TONITE!"
Sincere words and frantic tension-THAT is what my reply is all about.
My brain is doing the deadline tap dance with Jill the Writer, Jill the Small Business owner, wine/pet/neighborhood cheerleader, IndyFringe president, radio, TV...ok. You get it.
My mind goes thru this process:
He needs it NOW. I don't have anything. He wants it SOON. I still need a day to gather my thoughts and notes from head/paper/napkins/envelopes to computer keyboard.
He needs it NOW. I don't have...oh wait.. I DO!!

Columbus Day/ Taste of Tuscany
As I procrastinate my deadline it is now October 12. Columbus Day. Good Italian boy gone discovering. YOU TOO can discover Italy in Indiana on Friday, November 13.
Taste of Tuscany is a one of a kind event benefitting the Ronald McDonald house of Indianapolis. I get asked to do a LOT of events. I ALWAYS say yes to this one. Why? Great cause and an event that is truly worth the price of the tax deductible ticket-and the money raised GOES to the RMH on Michigan street on the IUPUI campus in downtown Indy. What happens there and at the RMH venue inside of Riley Hospital for Children IS life saving. And not just for kids-but their families. Ronald McDonald House offers a worry, stress free place to eat, sleep and NOT worry about anything-until you go back to be with your child in a hospital room at Riley.
Get your tickets now to a nite of divine wine, food, music and a chance to win an all expenses paid trip to Tuscany, Italy. AND if you don't win, you can also be part of a 14 day 4-Star tour of Tuscany for an incredible price.

SOAP opera
Rabbit Ridge winery makes some amazing wine. I will be reviewing their latest offerings next issue. In the meantime, owner Joanne Russell makes killer soap from the olive vines and grape vines on the property. WOW--they smell fresh and soap up creamy and smooth. Loaded with olive oil this is TRUE nourishment for the skin.
