Life's Ripples from Broad Ripple United Methodist Church by Rev. Timothy Rasmussen

There is an old adage that the years go faster the older we get. I'm already wondering where this year went. It has also been said that the longer pets live with people the more the pet and person begin to resemble each other. We decided to put that saying to a test.
On October 4th at 1 p.m. we will be having our annual pet blessing. However this year we're going to put a little twist on it and add a little competition. At 1 p.m. there will be a mini dog show with a prize for each of the following categories:
1. Best looking overall
2. Best trick
3. Looks most like the owner (any animal is eligible for this part of the competition)
The prizes will be $25.00 gift cards, one for each of the categories. As usual there will be free treats for humans and animals alike.
Following the dog show there will be an animal blessing with a special prayer for our beloved friends. All varieties of animals are welcome to be part of the pet blessing service. We look forward to enjoying this fun filled afternoon with you and those beloved pets that are such an important part of your life.
