Random Rippling - Poston Legacy Foundation presents money to BRHS
posted: Aug. 15, 2008
At a dinner at Chinese Ruby, located at 7280 Keystone, William (Speed) Schumacher, president of the inaugural board of directors of the Gene R. Poston Legacy Foundation presented two checks for $550 from the Foundation to Sandy Reiberg, arts magnet director at BRHS and Linda Davis, incoming principal for BRHS. One check with matching funds will go to purchase a new concert bass drum for the orchestra, the other will go to help a student musician go and play with a special marching band at the Rose Bowl Parade.
Golden Singers alums plan to award approximately $1,000 each year to music education needs at BRHS. All alums are invited to join the effort by contributing a tax deductible amount of at least $100 to the Gene R Poston Legacy Foundation- in care of Dave King (1970) at M & I 135 N Pennsylvania St Suite 900, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
