Poetic Thoughts - Something To Write On - by C.W. Pruitt II

Something To Write On
Sometimes I write poems on the nearest piece of paper I can find. In this I am in good company. Nikki Giovanni does the same thing. Kyle Andrews write poems on napkins when frequenting a restaurant or bar.
The other day I was looking for something in the pile of mess under my coffee table. By accident I found a half sheet of lime green cardstock paper. On it were doodles and four poems that I wrote on July 9, 2007. I think that I was watching an art show on PBS when I wrote them.
Here are 2 of those poems:
mythical facts
forever intact
psychical strength
gaining strength
over time
mystical rhyme
growing tighter meter
as ages progress
the truth seems unimportant
with more relevant myths
which came from somewhere
deep within
human consciousness
establishments seem solid
then crumble -
amidst the rubble
new forms
get created
by human hands
(with divine inspiration?)
re-configurations
prove better or worse
a blessing or curse -
inspired creation needed
yes, indeed
