You sit; I stand
By: Brendon Garrett
Who are we to skip classes that our grandparents
weren't allowed to go to
Everyday we sit back, never thinking about what my,
your people went through.
Somebody died so that you can have pride and never have
to hide and wonder when masters coming.
Who are we to sit in the back of the bus when Rosa Parks
was sent to jail for sitting in the front; some days I cry and
think won't my people ever get enough
If nobody owns a plantation of coca then how did we
get cocaine?
Who are we not to stand up?
Who are we not to win?
Who are we not to carry on the legacy of Dr.Martin,
Mother Theresa, Princess Diana, and Minister X.?
Its time for OUR Generation to Stand
Who are you?
