The Broad Ripple Farmers' Market will move to the Broad Ripple High School parking lot. This location will provide more convenient parking for our customers. The parking lot is located just behind (south of) the school. The school is located at 1115 East Broad Ripple Avenue, diagonally across the avenue from Applebee's.
The Broad Ripple Village Association's Farmers' Market is celebrating its 12th anniversary. This is a family oriented event which has become a local institution that adds to our quality of life. Our market is the only one scheduled on Saturdays in Marion County. One customer said, "Attending Broad Ripple Farmers' Market is a habit I don't plan on changing. I just love it."
Many varieties of fruits and vegetables are offered each summer including sweet corn, tomatoes, green beans, mesclun lettuce mix, strawberries, blueberries, melons, apples and peaches. Non-produce items include hickory bark syrup, honey, meat, eggs, mushrooms, milk, cheese, breads, baked goods, clam chowder, dog treats, landscape plants and bouquets.
At the first market this spring you can expect strawberries, asparagus, lettuce, green onions and peas.
The Broad Ripple Farmers' Market will open on Saturday, May 27, 2006, and be open until the last Saturday in October. The new hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon.
