Random Rippling - Red for Women
posted: Apr. 29, 2005
Broad Ripple Village Went Red for Women on the weekend of April 16, 2205. Many shops joined with the American Heart Association to raise awareness that heart disease is the top health concern for women. A special logo shirt designed by Anne Bonds of Happy Trails was sold throughout the Village, and AHA literature was available. Each shop had a large red dress logo displayed. Free health screenings were performed under tents in the parking lot of The Bungalow, where Westfield Boulevard meets the Monon Trail. Even the Statue of Liberty in the Broad Ripple Lawn Equipment window was wearing a red dress for the occasion!
