May 16, 2004 - The Broad Ripple banking boom continues - Flagstar Bank has announced that their new branch will be in at the 6300 block of North College Avenue.

To allow for the new construction, two houses north of Mystique Salon and Day Spa will be razed: 6320 and 6324 North College Avenue. The occupants of the houses had been Dury Investment Group and a motorcycle store, Chopsmiths. Dury Investment Group has moved to 6201 North College Avenue.

Flagstar officials said that construction on the new branch is scheduled to begin in June; the anticipated opening will be in November. It is one of the few free-standing branches in the area, as most are inside Wal-Mart stores.
