The Broad Ripple Gazette received the following information about the upcoming recycling program for Indianapolis.

RECYCLING UPDATES

By now, you've hopefully heard the news: universal curbside recycling is coming to Indianapolis in 2028! We're working hard behind the scenes to make sure our community is ready for this exciting change. For a lot of people, recycling is a foreign language, and we want to make it as simple to learn as possible.

We're working with a national nonprofit that has a lot of experience doing this sort of thing, we're going to be launching an app that will be able to answer all your recycling and trash questions, and we're partnering with local organizations to spread the word about the 2028 launch!

Want us to present to your neighborhood association/house of worship/school/workplace/club? Want us to table at your event? Want to share resources like the flyer below? We'd love to chat! Reach out to sustainindy@indy.gov.
